Wallsend West-Newcastle Junior Season In Review
Season Overview
- Youth Girls U14 – Doubled their numbers in their second year; and were 2019 Grand Final Runner’s up.
- U15s Joint Venture with Lake Macquarie, Singleton & Muswellbrook was a great success in ensuring all our boys could play football; won all their four games against Newcastle City, a first for a our ongoing local Newcastle rivalry; and Wallsend’s Jeremiah Blacklock-Cutmore was the 2019 U15s Regional Best and Fairest.
- Club strongly participated in the HCC strategic plan and continued the push for a more even competition; and successfully promoted the need for a zoning policy.
- Club maintained its 2018 numbers with around 65-70.
- Our Auskick was our 2nd biggest at around 25 members.; with our U13s our biggest stand-alone team with full numbers.
- Continued with our Canteen upgrade with new appliances, painting and new benches.
