AFLW Draft Combine Player Review: Pippa Smyth
Pippa Smyth had a standout 2017 NAB AFL Women’s Draft Combine last week at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium.
Ranking in the top ten in five of the six testing events, Smyth’s background as a personal trainer meant she was highly competitive in the endurance and agility trials.
Smyth’s best result was her Smartspeed 20m Sprint where she polled the overall top time of 3.24 seconds.
The Hunter Coast AFL Academy member was ranked second overall in the Running Vertical Jump test, reaching 65cm off her right leg.
The 2017 NAB AFL Women’s Draft will be held next Wednesday, 18 October 2017.
