Senior Representative Program 2020
Local Women’s Representative Carnival – April 13
In 2020, AFL HCC will again be running the Local Women’s Representative Carnival on Easter Monday (April 13). Clubs have now been requested to start submitting nominations for the training sessions. There will be one training session a week, for two weeks, in the lead up to the carnival. Training sessions and carnival venue, are all still to be determined, we will contact all players nominated with more details, in early March.
Team Breakdown
– Central Coast: consists of players from all Central Coast teams
– Hunter: consists of players from Nelson Bay, Port Stephens, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Maitland, clubs.
– Newcastle: consists of players from Cardiff, Newcastle City, Lake Macquarie, Wallsend West Newcastle and Warners Bay clubs
Regional Representative Teams – Men’s and Women’s
From the Local Women’s Rep Carnival, Coaches of the regional team (once appointed) will decide upon a train on squad to be invited to train for the Regional Rep team.
For the Men’s Regional Rep team, once Coaches have been appointed, they will put together a list of players to be invited to train for the squad.
Both the Men’s and Women’s training squad will have 2 weeks of training in the lead up to the Regional Rep game. Training venues and days will be confirmed with those players who are invited to train, closer to the games. The Men and Women’s regional rep game will be held on Saturday May 16, at an Illawarra Venue, against the South Coast teams.
Coaches Positions
For anyone interested in expressing an interest in coaching a rep team, nominations have now opened. For more information, and to apply, click here. Coaching nominations will close on Friday, February 28.
Teams will also require helpers – trainers, water carriers etc, so please get in contact with lauren.francis@afl.com.au if you would like to assist on either the Easter Monday Carnival, or the May 16 Regional Rep day.
