Senior Men’s and Women’s Pre-Season Invitational

AFL Hunter Central Coast are pleased to announce the inaugural Men’s & Women’s Invitationals to be held at the Central Coast Regional Sport & Recreation Complex, Tuggerah on Saturday 14 March 2020 (Men) and Saturday 28 March 2020 (Women).

Invites have also been sent to teams outside of the Hunter Central Coast region to participate, with a number of teams registering their interest.

The tournament was developed in response to the request from AFL Hunter Central Coast clubs to identify ways of securing venues to host meaningful pre-season fixtures. The AFLHCC Pre-Season Invitationals will be 18 per side for Men, 16 per side for Women, with the opportunity of prize money for winning teams.

Men’s Competition
Saturday 14th March 2020
Where: Central Coast Regional Sport & Recreation Complex, Tuggerah
Cost: $250 Per Team
Prize: Pool min. $1000 in Cash
Games: 15-minute halves. Minimum four matches (3 Pool Games and Semi Final or Classification Match)
Team Size: 18 Per Side, Unlimited Bench

Women’s Competition
Saturday 28th March 2020
Where: Central Coast Regional Sport & Recreation Complex, Tuggerah
Cost: $250 Per Team
Prizes: Prize Pool min. $1000 in Cash
Games: 15-minute halves. Minimum four matches (3 Pool Games and Semi Final or Classification Match)
Team Size: 16 Per Side, Unlimited Bench

Rules Both Comps: Games will be played to the Laws of Australian Football, with the exception of Boundary throw in, where a ‘last touch’ rule will apply. Where the umpire cannot determine last touch, a ball up will occur.

Other Information: Team Entry fee will contribute towards event running costs including footballs, ground hire, umpires (Field & Goal) and prize money

Registrations close 14 February 2020. Places are limited to the first 16 Men’s & 16 Women’s teams to register. Teams will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
