Junior and Senior Important Dates and Draw release information – 2020 Season
With the 2020 footy season almost upon us, below are some important dates to put in your diary.
Senior Football
Season Start and Draw Release Information
The Senior season will begin on Saturday April 4, with no competition games scheduled over Easter, but all clubs will be scheduled over the ANZAC day weekend. The draw has been delayed as we’re still working with councils to confirm the availability of a few grounds. As soon as we have confirmation, this will allow the draw to be complete and sent out. We will keep all clubs up to date on the draw progress.
Pre-season Invitational – Saturday March 14 and March 28
AFL HCC will be running a pre-season invitational event for HCC clubs, as well as out of area clubs. Information has been sent to HCC clubs prior to Christmas, with a lot of clubs already committing teams. There will be a Men’s pre-season competition on Saturday March 14 and the Women’s pre-season day on Saturday March 28. Both days to be held at the Central Coast Regional Sport & Recreation Complex.
Senior Women’s Local Rep Games
The Women’s Local Rep carnival will be again held on Easter Monday, April 13. We will have information out to clubs shortly to nominate players. Training will be held the 2 weeks leading into the carnival.
Season Launch
The Season Launch will be held at Belmont 16s, on Sunday March 29. Clubs will again have the option to have 8 attendees, with a female and male captain required for the annual team photo. Information will be sent out to clubs over the coming weeks, to start nominating attendees for the afternoon.
HCC Regional Rep Footy
This year the two HCC teams will travel to the Illawarra to play South Coast. It will be held on Saturday May 16. There will be no competition footy scheduled on this weekend. The Women’s team will be selected out of the Local Rep Carnival (train on squad), with Men’s players receiving an invite to train as per 2019.
Other Important Dates
Elliott Davey Medal will be held at Belmont 16s, on Wednesday September 9.

Junior Football
Season Start and Draw Release Information
The Junior season will start on Sunday April 5. Fixture request and team nominations have been sent to clubs, with the draw anticipated to be released by Friday March 27 (depending on all information being supplied by clubs).
Rep Football
Emails to players nominated by their clubs have been sent out, with trials beginning Friday February 14. For information on all all rep carnival dates, please click here.
Presentation Nights
The Central Coast Junior Presentation Night will again be held at Wyong Leagues Club, on Friday August 28. The Hunter Junior Presentation Night will be at Belmont 16s on Wednesday September 2.
