Terrigal Avoca Junior Club 2019 In Review
Season Highlights
Including our Auskickers we had over 200 players in the 2019 season. Terrigal Avoca had a team in every age group from the U9’s to U17’s and YG 12 to YG 17.
Terrigal Avoca won 2019 Auskick Centre of the Year!
We had a very successful final series with the following teams making the finals: U11’s, YG12’s, U13’s, YG15’s, YG17’s and U17’s.
With our U11’s and YG12’s winning their first ever grand final and the U17’s fighting hard for their final premiership only to be pipped at the post by a classy Newcastle City

Regional Awards
YGU17 – Players well recognised for their playing ability the most notable was Jayda Kennedy voted the best & fairest in the whole competition. A fantastic effort and well supported by the whole team. Catrin Donnelly finished 5th and additional 8 players received votes.
U17 – Ethan Williams highest placed, finishing 4th and Talon Hopper 6th. The team had additional 9 players receive votes.
U15’s – Jake Hansen placed highest, finishing 7th and Chris Murray 8th. The team had additional 5 players receive votes.

Volunteer Spotlight
Bill Collier Award (Volunteer of the YEAR AWARD) – DAVID FAIRCHILD, who started at Terrigal Avoca Panther’s in 2012.
Dave was always immediately one of those general helpers that would fill any role on game day, BBQ, Ground Set up early, Ground Pack up late, Goal Umpire, Scoreboard, Time keeper, Ground Manager and even an emergency umpire.
Dave would also take on Committee Roles when asked, whether it was Grants Officer, Attending regional meetings, Organising Presentation Day as well as MC’ing. Dave has also added coaching the YG14s inaugural team – 2 years (including our first YG premiership success), YG17s coach in 2019 and YG17s CC Representative Coach 2019.
