Our 2019 campaign commenced early November, the coaching staff under the guise of head coach Cotter are pleased with the attendance . With the transition of several juniors the group is very sharp.
How’s Preseason going?
Preseason is well under way, numbers are swelling weekly, both Ladies and Mens have high expectation for the upcoming title defence.
Biggest surprise packet in 2019?
Second year junior Harrison Selkirk, very impressive , both training and trial match.
Sam Thompson has been training the house down, her skill level improvement and ball control very impressive.
CUP TEAM PROFILE
We have had a long but fruitful preseason with strong attendance and a good vibe around the group. Coming off a really good finals series in 2018 the boys are keen to put in a strong title defence in the inaugural AFLHCC Season.

Who has been lighting up preseason/which player is the one to watch in 2019?
Hugh Kelleher is the player to watch for City in 2019. Hugh is a returning City junior who is back into the fold after a few years away with injury. Likely to feature in the ruck and across half forward, Hugh is a big, strong fit 21 year old with a massive leap and good hands.

After a hard fought loss in the 2018 Grand Final, our focus is to improve as a group and go one better. We have managed to keep the majority of the squad, with a few new faces hoping to make an impact.
