PRESIDENT PREVIEW
2019 has seen a lot of old faces leave the club and plenty of new faces come on board.

How’s Preseason going?
Preseason is going as well as we possibly can, with the restrictions currently in place on our field (overlap with cricket and athletics) and the annual oversow program from round 1 -4

Biggest surprise packet in 2019?
Nathan Connor and Chloe Annandale

Our new players are all promising and its great to see everyone returning and new players developing as the preseason progress

Looking forward to seeing the leadership team of Nat Heard (captain), Eila Mills and Sam Rodrigues (Co- vice captains) work with the team across the ground and build on the teamwork and camaraderie from previous years

Very excited to see the development of new recruit Chloe Annandale in the ruck, with Steph Seagrave proving her potential as well

Big Ins: Chloe Annandale, Steph Seagrave, Ash Keating and Emma Knowles

Big Outs: Meghann Sawkins, Ash Finn, Karli Anshaw, Brit Creighton and Ash Barrowcliffe

MEN’S PLATE UPDATE
Coach: Preseason is going well, we have tried some new ideas and game plan in the last few weeks, and it looks like it is starting to take effect

quote “your time is coming, be ready”

Suprise Packet – Nathan Connor, Nathan has not played before but definitely seems to be a natural, he understands what we are trying to get out of drills and gets in position

Who is the team to beat in 2019?
Jordan Solly – this will be terrigal Avoca, they are very well structured and a talented side, who demonstrate how good they were in the grand final last year

Matt Dunn – Besides the CATS, the team to beat in 2019 will be Terrigal Avoca, they had a strong season in 2018 and a good core group, expect to see similar results from them again this year

PRESEASON GAMES
Preseason for women’s game (March 17) – Fantastic Effort by the Lady Cats against Singleton. Great to see the hard work at training paying off, and it certainly gave us a few more things to work on.
