WYONG LAKES MAGPIES ALL ABILITIES AUSKICK SCHOOL HOLIDAY CENTRE

Wyong Lakes Magpies are very pleased to announce they will be running an All Abilities Auskick Centre at Don Small Oval, Tacoma, in the October 2018 School Holidays.

All Abilities Centres are designed to cater for children who may have a cognitive or physical disability to come and try AFL is a safe, fun and friendly environment. The centre has been established after consultation with AFL NSW/ACT, educational professionals in the special needs field, parents and potential consumers.

The Club has for many years catered for children on the autism spectrum and sees this as the next logical step. The Auskick program is designed around skill development, little to no contact and most importantly inclusion, being active and having fun.

The Centre will see children learn the skills and rules of AFL delivered in a manner tailored to their needs and will culminate in the participates kitting up in club playing gear for a game of Auskick on the final day.

The Centre will run on Tuesday and Thursday of weeks one and two of the school holidays being October the 2nd, 4th, 9th and 11th from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Cost is just $40 for the four days and all participants will receive an Auskick football included in the cost.

The club would like to acknowledge the support of Central Coast Council who have provided sponsorship for this initiative in supplying access to Don Small Oval out of season.
