CENTRAL COAST – Woy Woy AFL 9’s Starting Soon!
The AFL will be running in conjunction with Peninsula Swans, an AFL9s Social Competition over 6 weeks in July and August!
AFL 9s is the AFL’s official social version of the game. It’s a fast, free-flowing game that involves 9 players on each team playing on a smaller field. Best of all, it’s mixed ‘touch football’ with no tackling or bumping, making it suitable for people of any age or skill level.
What do we need to know?
– Game Times: 6:30pm – 7:15pm
– When: Wednesday 19/07/17 – 23/08/17 (6 weeks)
– Where: Rogers Park
– Its Social Footy, so there’s no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We are here to have fun!
– Teams are mixed, with a min of 3 women and 3 men to be on the field at any one time.
– Teams are encouraged to have a minimum of 10 players on their team, which means you can have a break if needed.
What do I/we wear?
– Active Wear and Joggers(no footy boots), don’t worry we will provide you a vest to play in.
– Alternatively teams are encourage to choose a colour and to play in their colour. For example, if our team colour is green, we all wear green shirts each week.
Is there a cost?
– Cost per team is $500, which works out as $50 per person.
– Fees cover insurance, lighting, jumpers, footies and umpires.
